Welcome to Lighting The Fire.  Lighting The Fire is a mentoring program intended to keep young gospel preachers from becoming so discouraged they quit the pulpit.  And it is intended to renew those who have become so discouraged that they contemplate quitting.

It is my purpose to follow the pattern of Jesus in training the apostles, and of Paul in training Timothy, Titus and maybe Silas.

Our country and the church are not becoming stronger.  We are losing many full-time ministers.  More than ever, we need the courage and enthusiasm of confident, faithful gospel preachers in our ranks.
